Me & A Gun

The new apartment is fucking amazing. Also, gigantic! The cats are in heaven. They were pissed at me for a couple hours... then they went exploring. Once they realized they got tired just by running back and forth ONCE they decided everything was great and it was ok to love me once again.

Monday was one of the most exhausting days of my life, but Rachel and Greg made everything so much easier. +5 to awesome bandmates who are there for you. I was so out of it that they actually had to point out things I'd walked right by and missed (like my own personal washer & dryer! Can I get a hell yeah?).

Anyway, bedroom and bathroom is set up. Now to get to work on the studio. Oh yeah! I got a job 15 steps away (thanks again to Greg) within an hour of getting here. Sometimes things line up just right.

I honestly haven't been this happy since I moved back. I finally feel like myself again. Goodbye Quarter. I'll be by to visit every now and then, but really... you won't be missed.

So Han’s walking down the halls of Bespin with his old friend Lando. Leia’s there, and lookin’ good. Han thinks he’s off to dinner - maybe some wine, a little flirting, and then back to the ol’ guest quarters with Her Hotness.

But the door opens, and there’s Darth Vader.

Han doesn’t look incredulously at Lando; he doesn’t duck or run away.

What does Han do?

He starts shooting at the motherfucker.

This is what happens when Juan and I are in a room together for too long.

It is my birthday. I'm going to spend it not drinking nearly as much as I want to, watching myself to make sure I don't get sick, and apologizing to friends for my ridiculous antics on Wednesday. GO ME!

I'm on day 2 of suffering from the worst headache I've ever had in my life. Also, I'm on day 3 of the most insatiable craving for cheeseburgers I've ever experienced. Obviously, something specific is going on here. Thanks to our society developing an obsession with dieting the internet is of no help so far.

Also, there are now leaks from the ceiling of the studio. Multiple. In many different places.

This is not going to be a good week. I may just stay in bed for the rest of it.

So... when the cops come to your door and say "Do you mind if I come in and look around for a minute?" you have 3 options:

1) "Certainly officer, come on in."

2) "I'd rather you didn't officer. Let me throw on some shoes. Would you like a cup of coffee?"

3) "If you try I swear to god I will blow your fucking house off the planet!"

Ahem...

FUCK FINAL FANTASY XIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't care. It's taken them something like 5 years (and counting) to put this damn game out. The demos look like they're desperately trying to combine FFVII and FFXII. This is completely ridiculous! The concepts are practically polar opposites in the rpg world!

None of this actually matters to me though. Despite my long standing love of Final Fantasy games, my interest in FFXIII has been all but nullified by the time, rumors, and bullshit merchandising that has surrounded it.

Still, none of this is the reason I am angry. The reason I am angry is summed up in 3 points.

1) I WANT A REMAKE OF FINAL FANTASY VII!

2) THE CREATOR OF FINAL FANTASY VII WILL NOT DO A REMAKE WITHOUT THE ENTIRE ORIGINAL TEAM!

3) HALF OF THE FINAL FANTASY VII TEAM IS STUCK WORKING ON FINAL FANTASY XIII!

So..... as you can see Final Fantasy XIII is no longer an item of interest to me. It is now simply a road block.
